*Trauma-Informed Talk: “A Bad Child, or a Hurt Child?”*
No one wants to label a child as “bad”.
But sometimes, their behaviour truly leaves us feeling frustrated:
Talking doesn’t help,
scolding doesn’t work — the more you try, the worse it gets…
This leads many adults to question themselves:
Am I not doing a good job as a parent or teacher?
Is society too harsh on children?
Is my child really “bad”?
Maybe not.
Very often, a child is simply struggling to express their emotions and needs.
What we see as “problems” may in fact be *silent cries for help*.
If you’re feeling helpless and unsure how to connect with your child,
perhaps it’s time to see things from a different perspective.
You may just discover — there *is* a better way to respond. ![]()
