龙树菩萨出生于南印度，是大乘佛教的重要论师，亦是中观派的创始者。西元二世纪，龙树菩萨写了一封【亲友书】劝诫他的挚友乘土国王，应行正道来治理国家也在家修行。

这是一封写给国王的劝诫信，它也为在家修行而写。

在这加速的时代，我们过着忙碌的生活与享受着物质带给我们的快乐。其实，在这忙碌与享受富裕的同时，我们还可以过着在家修行的生活方式。如何能在世俗生活中正确的修持佛法呢？答案就在龙树菩萨所著的《龙树菩萨劝诫王颂》。

The Precious Garland was intended primarily for the King where Nagarjuna advises his patron king on how to conduct one’s life and how to construct social policies that reflect Buddhist ideals. The advice for personal happiness is concerned first with improving one’s condition over the course of lifetimes, and then with release from all kinds of suffering, culminating in Buddhahood
