Speaker Lineup: Topic 3 – The Functions of Buddhism in New Era

1）释如法法师 Venerable Shih Rufa

如法法师是中国佛学院以及斯里兰卡凯拉尼亚大学硕士，同时也是广州大佛寺书记，分管大佛寺生命教育培训。

Venerable Shih Ru Fa is a graduate of The Buddhist Academy of China and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka. He is also the Secretary of the Grand Buddha Temple of GuangZhou, overseeing the temple’s Life Education Training program.

2) 邓伟仁博士 Dr. Wei jen Teng

邓伟仁教授现任法鼓文理学院佛教学系系主任。毕业于斯里兰卡Kelaniya大学巴利文佛教学系（学士）、印度普那大学梵语系（硕士）、芝加哥大学神学院（硕士）以及哈佛大学宗教学（博士）。邓伟仁研究领域包括佛教心识与禅修理论、中国佛教史、巴利语、梵语佛典、佛教与当代社会相关议题。

Weijen Teng is currently the Head of the Department of Buddhist Studies at Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Pali Buddhist Studies from the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka, a Master’s degree in Sanskrit from the Savitribai Phule Pune University in India, a Master’s degree from the Divinity School of the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Harvard University. His research areas include Buddhist consciousness and meditation theory, the history of Chinese Buddhism, Pali, Sanskrit Buddhist scriptures, and issues related to Buddhism and contemporary society.

3）梁秋梅硕士Sis. Leong Chew Moi

梁秋梅居士是马来亚大学中文研究硕士，同时也是一名大学讲师。

Sis. Leong Chew Moi holds a Master’s degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Malaya and is also a university lecturer.
