DESCRIPTION:人鬼两利安 Living in Peace with Spirits \n一讲到“鬼”，很多人有一种可怕的感觉。其实，在佛教的观点，他们不可怕，而是比较可怜。 \n往年农历七月，大街小巷都会很热闹地进行着“中元普渡”，“超度法会”，而今年遇上罕见的超级病毒，导致各地都是静静的。很多人会担心“鬼到底会不会饿到？“ \n佛陀教导我们到底如何透过善业与佛法的修持，让现在世或过去世亲戚获得利益。然而，两千多年后，我们不难发现，某些传统已经乖离了佛陀所教导的原意。 \n因此，我们必须重新探讨”普渡“，”超度“到底是怎么一回事？我们该如何让人和鬼两方面都得到利益及安乐？ \n马佛青吉打州联委会有幸礼请槟城亚衣淡悉达林住持法子尊者，透过精彩的佛教经典故事，为大家一一解答。9月5日晚间八时，诚邀大家一同在线上共沾法益，人鬼两利安。 \nWhenever spirit (or ghost) is mentioned\, more often than not it comes along with a sense of eeriness in our mind. Nevertheless\, from the perspective of Buddhism\, they are not scary\, but are more pitiful. \nThroughout the 7th month of the Lunar Calendar in the past\, we used to witness how prayers to the hungry ghosts were held in various scales. However\, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to plague the world today\, the Hungry Ghost Festival celebration was turned into a silent affair this year. Many people would have asked\, whether the spirits would be suffering from “hunger” this year? \nBuddha taught us how to benefit our relatives who are still living or deceased through various meritorious deeds and practice. Unfortunately\, throughout the years\, we may find that some of these traditions were deviated from the original teachings of the Buddha. \nThus\, we ought to re-discover — what are the actual teachings of divine-intervention and transcendence? How can we benefit and be in peace with both human and spirits? \nThe YBAM Kedah State Liaison Committee is honoured to invite Bhante Dhammaputta\, abbot of Sitavana Vihara Buddhist Monastery in Penang\, to share his insights based on the interesting Buddhism scriptures.
