Day 6 of Study Tour to India | Varanasi, India | 30.10.2023
On their last day in Varanasi, the delegation visited Ram Nagar Fort located on the east bank of the Ganges. Then, the delegates went to Assi Ghat to take a boat ride to watch the Ganges River and the sunset. The Ganges is the most sacred river in India. People here call it ‘Mother’ because it not only gave birth to India’s ancient civilisation, but is also closely connected with India’s beliefs, culture, and history. Along the ghat of the Ganges, there are temples of different faiths.
