The 34th National Youth Consultative Council (MPBN) First Meeting of Session 2023-2024 was held successfully at the International Youth Center (IYC). The Guest of Honor of Opening Ceremony was the Minister of Youth and Sports (KBS) YB Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan, who then chaired the meeting as the Chairperson. MBPN was established since 1971 as a platform for youth leaders to convey their views and youth issues to the government in various segments to empower and develop the youth of Malaysia as a whole.
The MPBN this time featured 21 proposal presenters and put forward five proposals, namely empowering the character development initiative of the youth and the nation; the role of youth leaders in dealing with the burden of teachers in schools; formulation of Professional Youth Worker Policy; Demarcation of Elections and empowering the support for the ecosystem and dignity of Science, Technology, Innovation and Economy.
YBAM was represented by Vice President cum MBM Supreme Council member Bro. Albert Foo Chuan Yong, General Secretary cum MBM EXCO Bro. Eow Shiang Yen, and MBM Permanent Deputy Speaker Bro. Gan Chee Wei. Bro. Eow Shiang Yen also presented his proposals for the policy speeches from the Minister of Youth and Sports and MBM President.
