Dharma Talk Series

YBAM KL /Selangor State Liaison Committee and the Dharma Propagation Committee work together to arrange Venerables to propagate Dharma at various Buddhist associations in Klang Valley. The themes of the Dharma talk series were determined in accordance with the expertise of the local and international Venerables as well as the societal needs. The content was diversified which included: end-of-life care, introduction to Buddhist classics, the features of authentic Buddhism, etc. The Dharma talk series provides an opportunity for the SLC and Buddhist associations to maintain their relationship and to get close to Kalyana Mitra.

Youth

KL/Selangor SLC connects and forms ties with secondary school students by providing speakers and teaching materials in spiritual growth. Apart from strengthening their understanding of the meaning of life and their potential contributions to society, this initiative also opens the door for secondary school students to learn Buddhism in the future.

Thematic Dharma Talk

Dharma talks were organised in iconic landmarks with topics such as life and death, financial management, etc. which are attractive to the public to encourage greater participation. Some of the themes incorporated the three main elements of listening, thinking, and practicing which encouraged the participants to appreciate the equal importance of both understanding and implementing.
