YBAM co-organised the Children’s Life Education Seminar and ‘Where Did My Grandma Go?’ Picture Book Launch with Sin Chew Daily and Nirvana Malaysia (Nirvana Life Cafe). This event invited the Chairperson of Persatuan Kesusasteraan Kanak-kanak Malaysia Dr. Wong Sien Biang to share the keynote speech entitled ‘A New Theme of Children’s Literature – the Interest and Evolution of Picture Books’ and also the author of children’s literature Mr Khor Ewe Pin and creator of picture book Mr Alvis Ching to discuss on ‘Malaysian Children’s Picture Books, How Big can the Garden be Cultivated?’ moderated by the Deputy Executive Editor-in-Chief of Sin Chew Daily Mr Chen Yoke Lim. The event attracted the participation of about 150 parents, children, and educators.
YBAM was represented by President Bro. Yong Kuei Yoong and National Council Member Sis. Wong Chiew Peng. Sis. Wong Chiew Peng also shared with the attendees the collection of YBAM Picture Book Competition Award-winning Pieces during the event.
