Day 7 of YBAM Study Tour to Pakistan 2023 | Swat and Islamabad, Pakistan | 08.11.2023
Before leaving Swat in the morning, the delegation of YBAM Study Tour to Pakistan 2023 visited the Galigei Buddha Statue, a stone-carved Buddha statue located on the roadside that was blown up by the Taliban in 2008, and the Shingardar Stupa located nearby, and then set off back to Islamabad.
After returning to Islamabad in the afternoon, the delegation visited Lok Virsa (National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage) and the Lok Mela, the largest folk art festival in Pakistan. In the evening, the delegation was invited to have dinner at the home of the local travel company owner who commissioned this trip, and then they flew back to Kuala Lumpur.
