Collaboration between YBAM and Hospital UTAR to Provide Self-Funded Medical Discount for YBAM members
We are pleased to inform that the Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia (YBAM) has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hospital UTAR on 9 February 2026. This collaboration aims to promote social welfare initiatives and provide eligible members of YBAM with more affordable healthcare service options.
- Discount Details
According to the terms of the MOU, eligible YBAM members who receive self-paid medical services at Hospital UTAR may enjoy special discounted rates. Details of the discount are provided in Annexure A. This discount applies only to medical expenses paid personally by the patient and does not cover the following:
- Medical insurance claims
- Company medical benefit schemes
- Government subsidies or any third-party payment arrangements
- Application Procedure
Members who wish to apply for the medical discount must follow the procedure below:
- Submit an application to the respective YBAM State Liaison Committee in advance. Please refer toAnnexure B for the email addresses of the State Liaison Committees.
- Upon verification of eligibility, YBAM State Liaison Committees will issue an official letter of recommendation.
- Applicants must present this recommendation letter at Hospital UTAR in order to receive the applicable discount.
