The supporting unit is Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR).
The Honoured Guest for the Opening Ceremony is the UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat, and the main topic speaker is Dato Ir. Ang Choo Hong: Open a New Realm for Dharma Propagation. The special topic speakers are Dr Wong Sien Biang: How to Strengthen Children’s Buddhist Education, and Lim Gui Feng: AI in Dharma Propagation.
We strongly encourage students and the public to participate in Buddhist research activities. The purpose of the International Conference on Buddhism is to provide a local and international platform, including researchers on Malaysian Buddhism from different ethnic groups, to publish papers and improve the culture of Buddhist research in Malaysia. This initiative can also promote exchanges, interactions, and collaborations among Malaysian Buddhist researchers, thereby promoting Malaysian Buddhist research to the international Buddhist research stage. Past conferences had received enthusiastic submissions from local and foreign researchers on Malaysian Buddhism, mainly focused on diversified and wide-range discussions on Malaysian Buddhism, and its history and development.
The papers in this conference cover a wide range of topics and the conference is open to registration by Malaysian and foreign scholars and researchers. The topics of the paper cover literature and Buddhism, contemporary social issues, Buddhist figures, and monasteries. The topics discussed also include online videos, the promotion of Buddhist hymns, Buddhist innovation, ethics and other issues that are of great concern to the public. Those who care about the development of Buddhism and are interested in academic research are welcome to participate in this fruitful event from now on. It is free for Sangha members and the registration fee for the public is RM30. Lunch and teatime refreshments during morning and afternoon will be provided at the conference.
